The Stratosphere

This is the Stratosphere tower. It's one of the largest structures in the
world. I think the top of the needle is like 1,400 ft. Up at the big
part at the top there's an observation deck, and a rotating restaurant.
This is definitely the best place to get really good pictures (or just a view)
of the whole strip, as you can see below.

This is the Big Shot, one of the two rides at the top of the Stratosphere (the
other is a little roller coaster that circles around. This is the kind of
thing that starts at the bottom, then shoots you straight up so you've got like
an anti-gravity thing for a second, and you get a little bit of freefall on the
way back down.

Just a picture of the strip at sunset. It ends more or less at the green
hotel in the upper left, which is the MGM Grand.

This is actually a picture of Freemont Street, the original part of Las
Vegas.

Back to the strip, where you can see a pretty dramatic difference in the
brightness of the hotels.
