Stingray City
This is probably my favorite of all the shore excursions I've ever been
on. There is this area here where there are sandbars which make the water
very shallow (down to a foot in some places) even though you are far off
shore. So, boats have been coming here and letting people feed stingrays
for a long time now, so the stingrays know the deal and all congregate around
here when the boats are around.

On the way out to Stingray City. The sky was looking a little gloomy
but it cleared up and was really nice by the time we got there.
This is in the area, looking down from the top level of the boat. Those
black spots in the water are stingrays, generally 2-4 feet across.

Here's all of us posing for a picture with a stingray.

The stingrays sometimes congregate around the little tub there, because that's
where the food (squid) is kept. it's really cool getting to feed
them. Their mouth is on the bottom so they just swim over your hand and
suck the food out.
